2023 Headshot of Amanda Elliott at Letters from Elliott Iowa Chicago Midwest Calligrapher Engraver Live Event Artist

HI, I'M  AMANDA ELLIOTT

and I am the artist and calligrapher at Letters from Elliott and my home studio is located in Muscatine, Iowa but I frequently travel to Chicago and beyond for live events. I create custom hand lettered designs that are perfect for nearly any occasion. I offer many personalized products and can letter, engrave, paint, or burn on nearly any surface. My passion is creating handmade, one-of-a-kind items with a personal touch for clients and I truly enjoy helping luxury brands elevate their client experience by offering in-person and on-site calligraphy, engraving, bottle painting, and hot foiling services for brand activations and events.

My husband Nick and I live with our German Shepherd Juno and our cat Pete. We both grew up here and our roots are sewn deep with our family and businesses in this area. We love our small town life but also enjoy traveling as often as we can and always have a trip planned. We have season tickets to the Chicago Cubs and spend a lot of time in Chicago watching them play at Wrigley Field. Many weekends in the summer, you will find us enjoying the big city taking in a game or two while we're there. We also spend several weeks a year at my family's vacation home in Negril, Jamaica. Nick and I visited Jamaica for the first time in 2009 and fell in love with the island and the people who live there. We were married there in 2012 and have visited countless times since. We are so blessed to be able to call Jamaica our second home and have friends there who are more like family. When I'm not working or traveling, I enjoy cooking, reading, taking glorious naps, shopping, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.

I have always had a deep love for anything artistic and creative and have spent a lifetime drawing, doodling, and lettering just for fun as well as doing projects here and there for friends and family. It wasn't until late December of 2017 that I decided to turn my hobby into a little business. I am very lucky to have some creative and entrepreneurial friends who gave me some great opportunities to show off my projects and get my name out there. Things moved quickly and before I knew it, I had a list of orders a mile long! The past year, things have stayed consistently busy and for that I am so very grateful.   I look forward to reaching the goals I have set for myself and my business and can't wait to see what the future holds.
